LaTasha Thomas is Asia's mother and president of Super Business Girl. She has always been a strong supporter of her daughter's endeavors! As President, LaTasha oversees the day to day operations, creative aspects of marketing, innovation & design for Super Business Girl. She has a degree in business management and over 15 years in manufacturing.
Michael Newson is Asia's father and Director of Sales for the business. He is responsible for managing sales, promotional staff and activities. He creates strategies for product development and distribution and takes steps to enrich the position and image of SBG through various workshops, sale goals and objective. Michael has deeply inspired Asia to take responsibility for her future.
is Co-founder of Bamboo Detroit, a co- working space / business incubator in Detroit and a mentor/advisor to SBG. Bamboo provides office space, workshops and business resources that help to nurture
new and existing small businesses helping them
grow and thrive in the city. Bamboo has grown to over 65 members whose focuses range from web
development & design to non-profit work. Dave has also co-founded a marketing firm called Bamboo
Imagine and a real estate development firm called
Bamboo Build which he and his partners operate
from the co-working space.
Dave, a graduate of University of Michigan, is a former electrical engineer having worked with multiple Fortune 500 companies to develop a strong background in program management, sales, finance and marketing. In his community, Dave enjoys serving as technology chair on the board of the Detroit Historical Museum as well as with the Brightmoor Community Center. When Dave isn’t working, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two dogs. His future goals include establishing an early-stage venture capital firm to invest in companies incubated in Bamboo Detroit.!
